What you need to know
Damp and mould are common issues in many homes, particularly in areas with high humidity or insufficient ventilation. Understanding these problems is crucial for keeping a safe and healthy living environment.
We’re committed to addressing any damp and mould issues quickly and efficiently. Read on to find out how to spot the signs of damp and how to report it to us.

What causes damp and mould?
Damp arises when there’s excess moisture in the air or within building materials. This moisture can result from various sources, including:
Poor ventilation
Inadequately ventilated spaces can trap moisture and lead to condensation.
Water leaks
Damaged roofs, windows, or plumbing can introduce water into the home.
Humidity
High humidity levels, especially in kitchens and bathrooms, can encourage mould growth.
Mould thrives in damp conditions and can pose health risks, especially for those with respiratory problems or allergies. Addressing damp issues promptly is essential to prevent mould from taking hold.
